CLASSIC TURKISH MUSIC

The assembly that evening started in a different atmosphere than usual. ATATÜRK was listening carefully without speaking.

When we finish the program;

- Now I understand, we often do not find the full dignity of this music. This is the music we listen to, the real Turkish music. It is undoubtedly the music of a high civilization. It is necessary for the whole world to understand this music. But in order to explain it to the whole world, we as a nation need to rise to the level of today's civilized world.

All my friends and guests in the presence heard ATATÜRK's words. (Mesut Cemil wrote this memoir later. I remember he told us about it during a conversation before.)"
